XP users beware: hackers are targeting you

http://techpageone.dell.com/mobile/?id=45476#page_article   As of April 8, Microsoft stopped supporting XP. That has meant no more free security updates — though you can still get them if you are willing to pay a premium. For a number of companies with thousands of XP desktops, the change has been costly. Just ask the IRS, which is going to be paying Microsoft millions each year to support its extensive XP user base. The United States Computer Emergence Readiness Team said in an advisory released on Monday morning that the vulnerability in versions 6 to 11 of Internet Explorer “could lead to the complete compromise of an affected system.” PCs running Windows XP will not receive any updates fixing that bug when they are released, however, because Microsoft stopped supporting the 13-year-old operating system earlier this month. What is new in Windows 8

Performance Increases One of the issues that's been on our minds since they first previewed this new interface was whether this will keep bogging Windows down with more running processes, and whether running a full Windows desktop on a low-powered tablet was really a good idea (after all, we've seen Windows run on netbooks).
